Its hard to put into word the fear you feel when you get that call, " there is never an easy way to say this to a mother..." " your son has Leukemia... pack a bag, and they have a room ready at primary children's tonight.."
the shock, the tears, the fear.... its been a hard week, learning things, i never imagined even wanting to know. i didn't go to nursing school fro a reason. but when it comes to your child, and the fact that they need you, you learn to access a port, flush a line, learn all about different meanings at what it all means in your childs blood.
And the steroids, oh the joys of the steroids, a toddler with the "roid RAGE" its like a normal temper tantrum, but on steroids....
its a long road, a long journey, but its one we will take, because these bad ninjas need their butts kicked, and a 3 yr old on steroids is just the man to do it.

Korbyn v.s. A.L.L. Ninjas.
On March 26th 2013 Korbyn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Not something that you as a parent ever wants to hear. We have a long road ahead of us as far as treatment and everything, but Korbyn is doing a great job he is a strong Little man and a fighter. He is now currently on day four he will be getting his third round of Chemo today. As of now he is scheduled to go come home today which will be good because his sister is missing him and is really excited to see him again.
It has been a long week full of questions and worries but the hospital staff have been very helpful in answering the questions we have and explaining what he will be doing. So for the next 3 1/2 years we will be Helping Korbyn in his Fight against the bad Ninjas and kick Cancers Butt!
